Meet the Team
We look forward to working with you.
Raquel is one of the most caring and compassionate dental hygienists you will ever have the pleasure to meet! Since initially starting her dental career as an assistant, she has found great satisfaction in helping patients receive comfortable oral health care. Raquel's love of providing hands-on care brought her back to school, graduating from Pierce College's Dental Hygiene program in 2007 and receiving her Bachelor of Science degree as well. We have been graced with her here since 2013, our longest serving employee! Outside of dentistry Raquel enjoys spending time with her family and finding peace in her flower garden with her granddog Kita.
With her genuine warmth, Nina will set you at ease while helping you to make sense of your dental benefits. Born and raised on the island of Guam, she's been in the dental field since 2013 and moved here to the PNW in 2015. Nina loves day hikes, paddle boarding, baking, wine tasting (prefers white wines to pair well with her love of seafood!), and road trips to explore our beautiful area!
Believe it or not, Mikkel grew up all the way in India and came to Dr. W. much in need of rescue. Her love and care for the downtrodden dogs of the world has brought joy into Mikkel's life. He's a part of the team nowadays, but tends to stay tucked back in the front office area since he's a shy guy!
Tiffany was raised right here in Olympia and is as passionate about dental hygiene as you can get! Before joining our office, Tiffany was committed to the dental field as an assistant with 16 years of experience. She then attended and graduated from Pierce College’s 2018 Dental Hygiene class, and we were fortunate enough to nab her before anyone else! Tiffany focuses on educating her patients, listening to their concerns, and cleaning their teeth with a gentle hand. In her free time she enjoys camping, doing jigsaw puzzles and riding her motorcycle with the Olympia Lowlife Riders. She is married with a stepdaughter and grandson, and has a zoo's worth of animals: a Boxer, a Caucasian Shephard, two Mainecoons, two donkeys, four goats, and a menagerie of chickens!
Ying is a chairside dental assistant extraordinaire! She grew up in China and moved to the United States in 2011 along with her husband, who is now a US Army veteran. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Art & Design, but ultimately pursued her passion for healthcare, graduating first in her class from the Dental Assisting program at SPSCC with highest honors in 2020! Outside of work, she enjoys painting, sewing, and spending time outdoors biking and hiking with her husband and two daughters. She also cares for a dog, four fish, and two parakeets!
Lori's warm manner sets people at ease immediately, and her nearly twenty years of experience and dental assisting degree from SPSCC back that up with solid skills. Our patients always appreciate her concern for their comfort, and she's been with us since 2014! Lori enjoys creating her home in the wooded wonderland of the PNW, watching her kids play sports, family hikes, bowling, photography, going out with friends for a nice meal, and of course all her pets and animals on the farm!
McKayla is the friendly face you're most likely to see first when coming into our office! She's a Washington native and graduate from Northwest University with a BA in Organizational Management. In her free time, she loves collecting shells on the beach, hiking in the mountains, indoor rock climbing, taking road trips and going to country music concerts with her husband. McKayla is also a professional photographer, so ask her if you need beautiful pics of your next event! Her website: www.forbes.photos
Nelly has been in the dental field since 2015, and actually worked with Dr. Whisler up in Seattle back then! She has recently returned to school to become an "EFDA" (dental assistant who can place fillings and more!) and has reunited with Dr. W down here and joined our team! Nelly loves talking with patients and turning around their dental anxieties. In her free time you'll find her backpacking all over the PNW and indeed the whole world! She knows Spanish and ASL, and routinely volunteers with the deaf community.
Millie is our newest dental assistant / sterile tech. She enjoys making patients feel comfortable and cared for during their visits, you'll find her smile is infectious! With over 7 years of experience in hospital administration in her native Thailand, she is dedicated to healthcare and excited to now be in dentistry. In her free time, Millie loves cooking, photography, playing board games, and exploring beautiful places around the PNW!
